Pakistan’s biggest skill gap isn’t technical. It’s selling. And nobody wants to admit it.

Pakistan has thousands of people teaching skills. Nobody is teaching how to SELL.

Open LinkedIn or Instagram right now.

Someone is selling a web development course. Someone else is teaching Android. AI agents, graphic design, SEO, content writing, Meta ads, Google Ads, every skill you can think of.

And honestly? A lot of it is good work. I’ve seen NETSOL by Salim Ghauri teaching AI skills. I’ve seen Zeeshan-ul-hassan Usmani teaching AI agents. Innovista and others doing technical skills. I appreciate all of it.

But I’ve been noticing a gap that nobody is talking about.

We’re producing builders. We’re not producing sellers.

Here’s the difference:

Teaching someone to run Meta Ads is not teaching them marketing.

Teaching someone Google Ads is not teaching them how to sell.

Those are tools. Turning on a campaign is not selling.

Real marketing is: How do you make someone WANT what you have?

Real selling is: How do you grow a product, a service, a company?

Real business development is: How do you build a network that opens doors globally?

I’m not seeing anyone teaching THAT.

Not a proper course. Not a series. Nothing that teaches companies or individuals how to develop a selling mindset, how to pitch globally, how to grow their services beyond Pakistan.

Why am I writing this today?

I watched a reel by Irfan Malik where he touched on something close to this. Appreciated it genuinely. But it was a reel. 60 seconds.

The real problem:

We’re graduating thousands of developers, designers and AI tool users into a market where the hardest question isn’t “can you build it?”

It’s “can you sell it?”

Every startup I know struggles with the same thing: finding clients, pitching, closing deals, growing their network. Not building the product.

And nobody is solving that with proper, serious education.

My question to you:

Is anyone actually teaching this? Or are we going to keep producing skilled people who have no idea how to sell what they’ve built?

P.S: the picture below is of traditional turkish breakfast which I had in turkey 2 weeks ago and is just for attention xD.
