Today, I want to share my thoughts on the growth of an organization from a founder’s perspective. Feel free to share your own opinions as well.
In my view, as an organization owner, the company doesn’t grow just because you buy a new car, house, or other luxury items. That’s personal growth, not organizational growth. An organization means a group of people growing together. When everyone in the company grows, that’s when the organization truly grows. If the organization doesn’t grow, you can’t provide better resources for your people.
If you can afford new luxuries but your employees can’t, it’s a sign you need to work on yourself. You must control your desires, understand the difference between needs and wants, and focus on the company’s growth. This will ultimately benefit everyone, including yourself. You can learn more about this approach in my business coach Muhammad Yousaf’s book Roadmaper.
I’ve read somewhere that to grow your company, you must grow the people working in it. Employees generally look for the following to stay loyal and grow with your organization:
Compensation: Fair and competitive salaries and benefits.
Development: Opportunities for learning and professional growth.
Career Path: Clear advancement opportunities within the company.
Recognition: Acknowledgment of their hard work and achievements.
Appreciation: Regular appreciation and gratitude for their contributions.
Let’s focus on these areas to foster growth for everyone in the organization.
