Privacy Policy.

This is the personal website of Umar Hameed (umarhameed.com). I keep what I collect to the minimum.

What I collect

Only what you choose to send me. If you use the contact form, the site receives your name, email address, topic and message, and your phone number if you add one. The form saves them in this website’s own database, which I read in the site’s admin area, and I use them only to reply to you. They are not sent to anyone else.

Videos

The videos on this site come from my YouTube channel. They play in a window that loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, when you press play. Thumbnails are loaded from YouTube’s servers. YouTube has its own privacy policy that applies once you use their player.

Cookies and analytics

At the moment this site does not use advertising trackers or analytics tools of its own, and it does not set cookies for visitors. Cloudflare, which serves the site, adds a small script (cloudflareinsights.com) that gives me basic, cookie-free visit counts. If I add other analytics later, I will update this page first and say exactly what is measured.

Fonts and hosting

The site is hosted on a web server and served through Cloudflare, which handles traffic security and speed. Cloudflare processes visitors’ IP addresses for that purpose. The fonts on this site (Fraunces and Inter) are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google’s servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), and Google receives your IP address when it does.

Links to other sites

This site links to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and the Uptech Institute website. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

Your choices

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Use the contact form and I will reply.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
